Introduction
The pilot is part of the data transfer activities carried out in PaNOSC WP6, in particular to support the following use case
Transfer of data to analysis services provided by another organisation (e.g.: EGI). Typical scenario: an user wants to analyse datasets produced during one of the experiments in the EGI infrastructure using Jupyter notebooks service.
The full pilot include the deployment and testing of the following services/solutions:
- EGI Notebooks service for supporting big data analytics,
- Onedata for federating data sets from the PaNOSC RIs, and
- UmbrellaID as Community proxy for the PaNOSC community.
A first setup has been already put in place at CERIC-ERIC and CESNET sites. All details are available at:

The data accessed at CERIC-ERIC and imported are sample files coming from a NFS mounted repository
Purpose of the activities
The purpose of the test at ILL site, is to setup a Oneprovider and import the real data archive at ILL (starting with a portion of it) and:
- Setup mappings of UmbrellaID AAI users to existing users on the storage
- import of NFSv4 ACLs into Onedata
- Create a shared space ( with ILL and CESNET provider) to allow on demand transfer of data to the CESNET oneprovider
